In the absence of any coherent thoughts here are some images courtesy of cinematographer Andrew Dunn. Watching Addicted to Love it’s noticeable how the camera lingers on Kelly Preston and especially Meg Ryan. “Well, why not? It’s a free country! Well, almost free. Meg and Kelly never appear in the same scene. Why? Because Ryan had a clause in her contract that no other blonde will appear in the frame while she (the party of the first part) is on screen.”
Lovely tribute to these actresses.

Pretty pictures as always Paul 🙂 I really think that you need to keep these pictures up and not delete them because blog entries dedicated strictly to something visual reminds one (based on my observations) of how a professional photographer decorates his/her own sites 🙂 Anyway, keep up the great work as always 🙂
BTW, you know how in the past on here, I would imply that a Michelle Pfeiffer and Meg Ryan pairing would be a worthy companion to that of a Boris Karloff/Bela Lugosi one and an Al Pacino/Robert De Niro one in the past? 🙂 Not to mention one worthy of Frank Sinatra/Johnny Mathis (a la that conversation in Barry Levinson’s 1982 comedy-drama Diner)? 🙂 Well here is another one, but I think you have to be familiar with the second name 🙂 You know how Madonna is often labeled “The Queen of Pop”, it is reported that in the European press, Kylie Minogue is often labeled “The Princess of Pop” – so If Michelle Pfeiffer is the unofficial “Queen of contemporary romantic comedy” would you call Meg Ryan the unofficial “Princess of romantic comedy”? 🙂 Oh here is that wikipedia link below to where I found that info on Kylie Minogue 🙂

Thanks as always John, I enjoy and appreciate all your comments. I was going to delete this place over the summer, but didn’t have the heart to finish the job. I am sorry if I offended you or anyone else by getting rid of most of my content.
On to happier matters and your latest comment just made my day. I’m familiar with Kylie and Madonna and I absolutely love your analogy with Pfeiffer and Ryan. I definitely wouldn’t argue with Michelle being crowned as the unofficial “Queen of contemporary romantic comedy” and Meg Ryan the unofficial “Princess of romantic comedy”. It would have made for a blockbuster pairing in their 90’s heyday. Maybe in an homage to a classic screwball comedy. Thanks again for sharing your insight.

I’m so glad you didn’t hit the delete button, I always love reading your heartfelt posts and supportive comments. The blogging world wouldn’t be the same with out you, and I’m sure when Meg and Michelle feel crap, they read your posts and feel so much better.

Thank you Gill. As for Meg and Michelle. I do for them, they don’t do for me. Maybe one fine day they’ll stop by and say hello!
