A Performance I love…

… in a movie I love …
… by an actress I love even more.

In the days before social media Meg Ryan was huge. I’m not sure if I’ve ever been as obsessed with anyone as I was with Meg, circa the summer of 97.Oh Meg, did you have any idea what you were doing when you stepped into Maggie’s knee-high boots? Did you deliberately set out to inflame desire and break hearts? You played this vengeful, biker babe with such wide-eyed bravura it’s impossible to not fall in love with your performance. The forces Maggie unleashed were powerful, maybe too powerful for this viewer.

  1. Great post 🙂 I love your thoughts on Meg Ryan. My celebrity crushes are probably too numerous to mention here 🙂 Anyway, keep up the great work as always 🙂

P.S. did you hear that Peter Bogdanovich died a few days ago? 😦

    • Happy New Year John, it’s always good to hear from you.
I was sad to hear of the death of Peter Bogdanovich. I do wish he could have directed Meg & Michelle in a movie in their heyday. Something screwballish in the vein of What’s up Doc?.

  2. Hi there, totally agree about Bogdanovich and I’m surprised neither of your ladies became a muse for him, but then glad they are yours or we wouldnt get these lovely posts…
