I recently put my Michelle Pfeiffer fandom to use writing an eleven-page article for Cinema of the ‘80s magazine. To my ecstatic surprise, it’s the featured piece on the cover! There’s my name right beneath Michelle’s! I’m over the moon, honestly.

As the magazine covers all corners of cinema in the decade of the 1980s, my piece is an overview of Michelle’s ‘80s output. Once I realized how perfectly Michelle’s career arc happened that decade, all the pieces for the article just fell into place. Her film career kicked off in 1980, with The Hollywood Knights and reached peak critical acclaim with 1989’s The Fabulous Baker Boys. In ten short years, she went from mostly unknown 22 year old actress to two-time Oscar nominated superstar.
