Perfect, you’ve left me speechless ..and yes Michelle is the true meaning of perfection and we hope for one last (or more) great role …I just wanted to say that I’m a 19 years old girl and I never searched for older movies before Michelle’s, like I’ve seen almost every movie that she was in and I searched movies from ‘88 like 5 years before I was born like ‘Married to the Mob…’ and I truly enjoyed every second of watching her …and yet yeees she’s the greatest actress that ever existed and the true definition of beauty.

Thanks for the blog. It feels good to know there are people who appreciate intelligent, meaningful and great-acting movies nowadays. It feels better to know people love Meg Ryan as much or more than I do. No one else in my circle understands my crazy obsession with this lady. The majority of people at my age (as far as I know) don’t even KNOW of her. Kind of sad, really!

Wow! you are the first person I’ve met who likes Meg Ryan as much as I do.
I’ve searched and watched most of her works, from the early part in Innerspace, to the height of her career with When Harry Met Sally, When a Man Loves a Woman, Courage Under Fire, etc. coming to the (seemingly) recent (very unpopular) part like My Mom’s New boyfriend. I can totally understand your fascination with her. There’s just something so compelling in every part she did. Her recent works just doesn’t feel like Meg-Ryan any more. I don’t know, I’m kinda mourning for the loss of her brilliance. I wish I were there at the peak of her career so I’d be able to look forward to every movie she did and savour them. I discovered her too late and then I discovered her downfall too quickly.

I’m a fan of Michelle Pfeiffer and Meg Ryan too. More Ryan than Pfeiffer.
And I am generally not a fan of CGI & 3D, special effects et al (a few exceptions are there of course) and prefer intelligent scripts and superb acting skills myself. Not a fan of -here today gone tomorrow- movies, I like timeless films that age well, From Gone With The Wind, to A Clockwork Orange, to Age of Innocence to The Reader. Good Movies that go on forever beyond time.

Hey Paul. Yeah, Michelle Pfeiffer is a stunning beauty, even in her later years. Those eyes just get to you.
In the movie “Scarface,” Tony Montana mentions her eyes…says they remind him of a tiger. She definitely has that look that can stop a man in his tracks.
Do you remember a very young, unknown Meg Ryan in “Top Gun?” She played the wife of Goose (played by Anthony Edwards, back when he had hair).

By far, my favorite Meg Ryan film is “Kate and Leopold.” The on-screen chemistry between Meg and Hugh Jackman is electrifying. It is a great romantic comedy,and showcases the talents of both stars. I like the time-travel threme.
My favourite Michelle Pfeiffer film is “Love Field.” I like it because the last part of the film was filmed in Richmond across the street from Berryman United Methodist Church. My dad retired from the ministry from that church. (The church members fed the cast and crew, I believe). Also, I liked the build-up of the romance between Michelle and her co-star.

HI Paul. My copy of “Addicted to Love” arrived today. I’ve started watching but had to pause the DVD player to post you a note. It’s been many years since I saw it in theatre, and I had forgotten how every minute delicious this film is. As I type Sam is just now hearing his Dear John letter. Never mind that I’d sell both children and crawl across broken glass for Matthew Broderick, I will be able to share more coherent thoughts in a day or two.

Michelle Pfeiffer has had one of the most complete acting careers of anyone alive today. She’s the quintessential leading lady. Pfeiffer could be really funny as well as sexy & seductive. She was incredibly gorgeous and without a doubt one of the most beautiful actresses that was ever in front of a movie camera. I think Meg Ryan’s range was extremely limited in comparison. See The Fabulous Baker Boys, Batman Returns, The Age of Innocence and Into the Night for proof of Michelle’s acting abilities as well as her stunning beauty.

There are some actresses whose beauty is amplified to such a degree on the movie screen that people who have only seen them on dvd may never understand the full force of the attraction. i have only experienced this golden screen sensation twice. The first time was seeing Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief. The second was Michelle Pfeiffer in Married to the Mob.

Other than “In The Cut” (yecch) I’ve always liked Meg (love her hippie gal in “The Doors”, for example, and I’m one of the few people who actually rather liked the remake of “The Women”: in fact, I guess it’s heresy, but I think I liked it better than the original). I need a specialists advice, tried to watch The Doors last night and found it so difficult to watch gave up.. does it get better as the film goes on as gave up before 20 mins?

No sorry, from memory it doesn’t get any better. I think the film was a waste of Meg’s talent. Kilmer makes for a great Jim Morrison, but it’s really for hardcore fans of The Doors only.
